I had such a wonderful experience at Southlake Spiritual Studio! I booked a Love & Relationship Reading with Valerie and was genuinely impressed by how detailed and insightful the session was. I had my first-ever tarot reading with Valerie, and it was an amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, she was incredibly kind and welcoming, which helped ease my nerves. She took the time to explain the process, and her calming energy made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire session. I was introduced to Valerie by a friend who had great things to say about her, and after my reading, I completely understand why. The reading was not only meaningful but also deeply insightful—it resonated with me on a personal level, and I left with so much clarity. Also her studio is so filled with peace and beauty you feel the good vibes as soon as you walk in.

I drove by this studio and decided to turn around to check it out and hopefully support the business. From the outside, it looked inviting and the sign even says walk-ins are welcome. I was genuinely interested in possibly getting a reading and spending money there.
Unfortunately, the experience completely turned me away before I could even walk inside. As soon as I approached the door, I was greeted by a woman with an extremely cold attitude and rude expression asking if she could help me. The energy felt very unwelcoming and honestly uncomfortable. I felt judged immediately instead of welcomed as a potential customer.
I told her I was okay because the interaction caught me so off guard. I stayed nearby for a moment, and while there were other people inside laughing and talking comfortably, I definitely did not receive that same warmth or hospitality. She later came back outside asking if I wanted a reading, but by then the energy already felt off. I politely declined because I did not feel comfortable receiving any type of spiritual service from someone who made me feel unwelcome from the start. She then walked back inside and locked the door behind her.
As a Black woman, the interaction left me questioning whether race played a role in how I was treated because the energy toward me felt noticeably hostile from the beginning.
First impressions matter, especially in a business centered around spirituality, healing, and energy. Sadly, this experience felt anything but welcoming. I will not be returning or recommending this place to others.
